Data and Analytics Intern

We are looking for a dynamic intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting the Data and Analytics department. Under general supervision of a Data Warehouse Director, the intern will work in a variety of assignments to provide general support to the strategy, finance, megaplex and HR departments. The intern’s assignments will make a positive contribution to the Larry H. Miller Company as well as give the intern opportunities to gain “hands on” work experience with the intent of training the intern for the potential of starting a successful career after graduation.

This is an internship at the Larry H. Miller Company’s Sandy, UT location. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week while also enrolled in school. This internship is not eligible for the employee benefits regular company employees are entitled to. Candidates must be able to commute to Sandy, UT.

Internship Details:

• 4 months projected duration
• $22 per hour
• Part-Time
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited University/College; Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics or other relevant program.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities:

• Attend Sprint Planning/Project Planning activities.
• Attend business meeting for requirement gathering.
• Create business and technical documentation.
• Build data integration processes in Python/Snowflake.
• Build reports and Dashboards in Domo/Quicksight.
• Perform data analysis task and present.
• Other duties as assigned.

Proposed Projects:

• Build BI dashbaords for Real Estate/ Destination Homes in Domo/Quicksight.
• Setup data integration pipelines for Data Lake initiative.
• Perform data validation for Senior Health/Real Estate/Swig data projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Proficient in SQL.
• Familiar with data warehousing and visualization concepts.
• Working knowledge of Python or any other programming language.

Physical Requirements:

• Work performed in an office setting.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
• May occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• May stand or sit for long periods of time.
• To perform other duties as required.
