Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Director, GPI, you will business partner with the Global Product Innovation (GPI) teams, where you will be the US contact, working closely with the GPI Program Management team to provide detailed understanding of project spend, and importantly, provide accurate forecast information. You will also work closely with the Global Category Management team to develop, implement, and support strategies, leading to growth in sales and manufacturing margin.
This role will drive strong cross-functional and cross-regional relationships, executed in alignment with Kohler Co. policies, procedures in a matrixed organizational structure, maintaining the highest level of integrity, ethics, and candor to all key management levels of the business and Kohler Co.
Specific Responsibilities

• Be the finance business partner to the Global Category Management team:
• Provide accurate and timely financial analysis to support management decision making, with insight into variances to plan, forecast and prior year.
• Attend relevant reviews / business meetings, giving insight on performance against plan and recommending areas of focus and priority.
• Lead the GCM forecast and financial planning process. Work with the regional Finance FP&A teams to ensure new product sales from the NPS (new product schedule) are reflected in the regional financial plans.
• Own the K&B vitality reporting, forecast and plan. Work with regions to gain insight and explanations of variances.
• Support with the financial analysis of global development projects, running the ROI calculations and working the teams to ensure accuracy in ACT financials. You will work on providing awareness and risk to current project spend, working timely on over-run ACTs and post audits where required.
• Facilitate in the co-ordination and creation of the financial inputs into the annual NPS, ensuring accurate and consistent regional financial data is presented and relevant.
• Drive accountability within the business on defining and delivering financial targets.
• Provide business partnering and financial support to the GPI Program Management team with project spend reporting and analysis:
• Responsible for coordinating the monthly forecast and annual financial plan for project spend, where you will work with multiple stakeholders to gain inputs for all projects within the NPS (new product schedule).
• Responsible for the financial analysis and reporting of GPI project spend, covering over 400 NPD projects. You will partner with the Project leaders to provide insight to Program Leaders, and work on initiatives to drive forecast accuracy. You will ensure the utilization of Tracs and provide insightful reporting on project labor spend.
• Support and educate the GPI organization in the use of the Global Project Development Process, allowing this process to help drive effective and accurate forecasts. You will ensure the necessary financial input into the process, which includes the financial approval and review at the relevant stage gates.
• Responsible for the capital spend review and analysis with project leads, creating monthly capital spend forecasts. Work with the GPI capital analyst on the bi-annual capital plan inputs.
• As a member of the K&B GPI Finance team, you will be expected to be a team player and support projects when required. You will be responsibilities for, but not limited to:
• Complete the month end commentary for your areas of responsibility for GPI and K&B Group consolidation, where you will work with regional teams to understand and articulate performance v plan and prior year.
• Promote and contribute to the Finance team by sharing information, driving best practice finance solutions in reporting, analysis, decision support and business partnering.
• Maintain the highest level of honesty and integrity. Expect and promote that same level of honesty and integrity in the supporting staff.
• Perform other responsibilities, projects, and special studies as assigned by the Finance Director - GPI & K&B UK.

Skills/Requirements

• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• BPC / SAP experience essential.
• Excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills including regular presentation to Senior Management Team.
• Experience of working closely with a range of partners across finance and non-finance functions including Analyst through to Senior Leadership team members.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to balance technical capability with commercial delivery and a strong improvement mindset.
• Available for occasional travel.

The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $85,650. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
