DESCRIPTION:
The Executive Director, Foundation plays a pivotal role in shaping the vision and strategic planning of the organization, ensuring alignment with its mission and goals. Integral to this position is overseeing financial management, including budgeting and reporting, to ensure the effective allocation of resources. The Director leads fundraising efforts, cultivating relationships with donors and stakeholders to secure financial support for the foundation's initiatives. A deep commitment to philanthropy drives the Director's engagement in grantmaking operations, where they oversee the process of evaluating proposals, making funding decisions, and monitoring program outcomes. This multifaceted role requires strong leadership, communication, and managerial skills to effectively drive the foundation's impact and uphold its commitment to creating positive change in the community.
Schedule: Monday- Thursday, 4/10 schedule
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Fundraising, Philanthropy, or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid CA Driver's License. Preferred certifications include Fundraising Management (CFRM) or Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
- Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, philanthropy, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship; experience in grant writing and management is required, along with previous experience working with boards of directors and volunteers.
- Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Proficiency in fundraising software and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is required, along with a strong understanding of financial management principles related to nonprofit organizations; excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to develop and execute strategic fundraising plans, are essential.
Salary:
The full salary range for the Executive Foundation Director, is $154,190 - $208,610 annually. We base salary offers on various considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
