Job description

The PWM Institutional Consulting Services (ICS) team engages with very large institutional clients - to enhance their investment portfolio and serves as their strategic partner. Conducts monthly/quarterly portfolio performance reviews and responds to client's ad hoc requests. Provides support on products and services and integral to completing consulting projects.
The Analyst will partner with the ICS team members to manage the operational aspects of generating the client Performance Reporting packages. Within the first year of the role, this individual will manage the transition from the current Performance Reporting systems into a single, new reporting system. After the new system integration, this role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the client reporting process. This role will require an individual with a high attention to detail, strong project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with associates at all levels.
As and Institutional Consulting Performance Reporting Analyst, you will:

  • Assist the ICS team with quantitative analysis and preparation of the client Performance Reporting board packages.
  • Lead the integration of the various Performance Reporting system into a new Performance Reporting system.
  • Interface and partner with various Baird business units to support the integration.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Performance Reporting process throughout the system integration and serve as the ongoing, primary operational support for the Performance Reporting process.
  • Support the team as the subject matter expert on the end to end process of the Performance Reporting process.
  • Identify and contribute to productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements to drive exceptional client service and risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of the breadth of Baird's products, processes, systems, financial markets, investment products, and industry regulations as required to deliver on business objectives.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as necessary.

What we look for:
  • Bachelor's degree - Business, Finance, or Accounting major preferred. 3+ years of experience in an investment services role is a plus.
  • Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience with Performance Reporting systems, Performance Reporting experience with held-away portfolios a plus.
  • SIE & Series 99 licensed or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to handle multiple deadlines, work under pressure, identify operational requirements and interface cross-functionally.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Passion for providing high-value, quality end products.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively, relating to others to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives.
  • Diverse understanding of operational procedures and processes.
  • Highly motivated individual who has a desire to learn, and an ability to think creatively in a demanding environment.
