File Clerk

Arnold & Itkin LLP is a personal injury firm known nationwide for winning record-setting results against some of the largest corporate giants. We are currently seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented candidate to work as a File Clerk on our Office Services Team supporting the Houston office on high-profile injury and mass tort cases. Our Firm handles cases across the country for those catastrophically injured in maritime, industrial, trucking, and other serious accidents. We help real people who are struggling in unimaginable situations. The ideal candidate is a professional, enthusiastic, and organized self-starter with legal file room experience. A proactive work ethic, the ability to anticipate needs, and attention to detail are a must.

Responsibilities

• Read, scan, document, and distribute/route high volume incoming correspondence
• Maintain document files using case management software
• Retrieve. organize, and file client documents and files
• Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications

• Ability to work in varying environments and be on your feet
• Experience identifying legal documents
• Excellent oral communication, writing, typing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently without significant supervision
• Ability to prioritize and complete numerous and complex assignments on time
• Thrive on obtaining favorable results in a fast-paced law firm environment
• Willing to work extended hours as needed to accommodate caseload demands
• Familiar with Office 365 suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to learn contemporary technology in law practice
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
• High school diploma or equivalent
