SalaryEaster Seals of Greater Houston, a leading provider of service to people of all ages, with any type of disability, is currently seeking an experienced Filing Clerk to join the Billing Department. The role will be primarily responsible for filing, maintenance of all billing charts and some lifting.
Job Type: Part-Time; Non-exempt
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizes and archives records and documents.
- Maintenance of all billing charts: creating new enrolled charts and closed charts.
- Checks paperwork, hardcopies, digital forms, and files, updating or correcting documentation as needed.
- Creates new files and provides needed information on forms and reports.
- Secures and protects the privacy of documents.
- Scans paper documents and verifies that scanned documents are clear and legible.
- Types and performs data entry.
- Checks and corrects documentation and placement of previously filed documents.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers, software and databases
- Great time management, prioritization and multitasking abilities
- Very keen attention to detail
- Discipline and focus
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
