Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain Medical Records in a medical office setting
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all Medical Records
- Retrieve and file Medical Records as needed for patient appointments and requests
- Prepare and scan documents into electronic health record systems
- Assist with data entry and updating patient information in the electronic health record system
- Respond to requests for Medical Records from healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with Medical Record documentation
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
