Path Master, Incorporated, a regional leader in the Traffic Control Equipment industry, headquartered in Twinsburg, OH, is seeking a candidate in the Cincinnati/Dayton/Columbus area with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering to support our customers in the field. Path Master is heavily involved in the changes that are rapidly approaching on how Americans will travel on our streets and highways in the near future. Our candidate would experience this evolution first hand and be involved with implementing "Smart and Connected Vehicle" applications. Job description is as follows:
-Provide field engineering support in the traffic control equipment industry.
-Thoroughly understand the equipment that PMI sells and be knowledgeable to make sound suggestions to customers. Attend training sessions provided by PMI and vendors to maintain knowledge. Research solutions regarding equipment if needed.
-Attend and communicate information from the field at a monthly Sales/Tech meeting held at our headquarters.
-Respond to customer engineering inquires. Schedule customer service appointments as needed.
-Assist customers with traffic intersection turn-ons as required.
-Troubleshoot and recommend proper remedies to customers regarding their electrical traffic control equipment. Includes working with PMI suppliers to solve issues.
-Read, understand, and follow electronic schematics and wiring diagrams during customer calls as needed.
-Program equipment according to plan and documentation provided including controllers, monitors, detection systems, communication systems, UPS systems, and any other equipment included in the assemblies if need be during troubleshooting and recommendation processes.
-Thoroughly test and troubleshoot electronic control panels and sub-assemblies.
-Thoroughly test and troubleshoot fully wired and assembled traffic control cabinets.
-Deliver and retrieve equipment from customers if requested.
-Prepare proper paperwork for delivery or retrieval of equipment.
-Prepare field service reports for each service call and provide them to the VP of Engineering.
-Schedule, plan, and provide training to customers on all types of traffic control equipment.
-Assist customers with troubleshooting and controller/equipment programming questions/concerns.
-Work closely with engineering to establish standards and test procedures for new equipment and assist with installation, evaluation, ease of use of the procedures.
-Maintain clean and organized work area including company vehicles and administrative equipment.
-Assist co-workers as needed to complete project and assigned tasks.
-Performs other tasks as assigned.
