Job Summary
CETCO (Colloid Environmental Technologies Company), a Minerals Technologies company, is seeking a technical / business development support professional for our HydroShield Quality Assurance Program as well as providing other support functions within the daily support of Field Services.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of the Standard processes and protocols utilized daily within Field Services
- Work through the CETCO HydroShield Quality Assurance Program start-to-finish
- Review / revise written protocols to address current Standard Work Flow
- Develop standard work-flow diagrams to enhance best work practices
- Maintain current project files & update with most current information / documentation
- Participate in the implementation of sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Daily Management Control, Standard Work and Problem Solving
- Create program / standard process for review of Certified Inspection site reports
- Assist Project Managers within the phases of any remedial process / plan of action
- Support existing Field Services staff along with others within Building Materials
- Communicate with the construction team (GC, AA & CI) of ongoing project installations
- Other duties as assigned
OE/Lean
The Intern - Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and achieving Operational Excellence and lean goals and initiatives through the following based on how they tie into the work:
- 5S, inventory reduction, process flow mapping, value stream mapping, visual management, standard work, Kaizen events, statistical process control, and Total Productive Maintenance
- Contribute to a continuous improvement work environment
- Supporting quality teams and management with OE initiatives and actively suggests opportunities for improvement.

Education: The ideal candidate is currently seeking a degree in construction management, civil, industrial or environmental engineering, architecture or geology. Industry equivalent or technical experience would be considered in lieu of a construction focused degree.
Candidates should exhibit exceptional communication / interpersonal skills. Additional consideration will be provided for candidates with substantive public speaking / presentation or sales process experience. A self- motivated individual with the ability to act independently yet accountably, carry out objectives in alignment with the company business strategy in support of territory action plans - candidates must be customer focused with an inherent sense of urgency.

Work Hours
Monday-Friday 8AM to 5PM CDT with 1-hour lunch typically noon to 1PM.
Travel
Travel commitment may require local construction site visits accompanied by full-time CETCO employee.
Proper PPE to be strictly adhered to on all sites attended.
Safety Training: A intern hired to perform the duties of this position is required to be provided New Employee Training by a qualified individual or through the online training system. Additionally, an employee must be provided further training if a job duty/task has changes which will affect the health and safety aspects of the employee's position.
