Job Summary/ Overview:
Provide leadership oversight and enhance structural systems of CCHC Supportive and Transitional Housing Programs to support senior management to expand the goals of the organization.
Minimal Qualifications: Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of Master's degree in Social Services, Public Health or related field.
- At least six years of experience of managing federal, state, and city contracts.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple funding streams.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills. Solution focused and critical thinker that can oversee federal, state, and city contracts.
- Ability to design, administer, and evaluate the various components involved in a project.
- Ability to use personal computer systems software.
- Ability to analyze, appraise, and organize facts and precedents and to prepare written recommendations and make effective and responsible decisions.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated; ability to train, supervise, and motivate employees.
- Ability to compile clear, complete, and logical reports and correspondence; ability to recognize, investigate, and analyze a variety of legal and administrative problems and devise effective solutions.
- Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with others; ability to apply specialized knowledge to individual cases and problems.
- Ability to work with a diverse workforce; ability to make sound decisions in accordance with CFR 42 regulations, policies and procedures of the organization.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of demands on time; and ability to speak publicly in an effective manner.
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required.
Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and management to direct reports and engages in recruitment, supervision, mentorship and training of direct staff, and departmental interns/volunteers.
- Acts as key liaison to appropriate levels of leadership with various external audiences regarding the promotion and enhancements of services and programs.
- Evaluate the progress of programs to meet established programs goals.
- Develops and revises specialized program plans.
- Maintenance of systems and structure to promote growth within the department.
- Prepare monthly statistical reports and submit to the Managing Director that contains data as it pertains to contractual requirements, revenue projects or loss, forecasting to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Review and assist direct reporting managers with the development of policies and procedures for new and expanding programs.
- Participate in the development and implementation of a variety of systems and procedures; prepare, maintain, and update manual and resource materials; review and determine priorities for the unit.
- Prepares narrative and/or statistical reports on work operations or special topics as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with the compliance office to ensure that charts are compliant with grant protocols.
- Ensure timely reports are completed and submitted on all grants and projects.
- Works closely with key staff to identify, assess and pursue grant funding opportunities
- Recommends agency policies and participates in organizational strategic planning and quality improvement processes.
- Develops, maintains, and updates program standard operating procedures for all oversight programs.
- Regularly engages and develops external relationships with project officers and funders.
- Participate on committees and program related internal and external meetings.
- Advise managers on deadlines, rules, grant expectations or related information,
- Prepare and review program budgets; recommend personnel actions; assess staff performance; mentor/coach staff and provide direction and feedback; participate in team or work unit meetings; plan agendas for meetings; prepare technical reports.
- Identify corrective steps to address any unfavorable balance for federal, state and city contracts.
- Assist in the development and execution of the organization strategic plan.
- Identify strategies to diversify the agency’s revenue growth.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
