Field Service Electrician - Anaheim, CA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install electrification systems on crane runways.
- Install electrical control cabinets.
- Install upgrades to electrical controls on crane
- Fault find/ diagnose and repair control circuits.
- Perform routine mechanical & electrical maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists.
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Inspect cranes, hoists, and other machinery for compliance with appropriate federal and state codes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Understanding of AC control circuits including - motor controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Mobile equipment operation including manlifts & forklifts.
- Driver’s License.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid WA State electricians license required.
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work at heights.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
