Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Atlas is continually looking for opportunities to forge long lasting working relationship with talented professionals with a background in Construction Inspector. We are seeking technician trainees and experienced personnel to perform inspection/testing activities on materials. The job will be based in the Idaho Falls/Pocatello area.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen, no dual citizenship
- High School Diploma/GED
- Read/follow/write procedures
- One or more years of construction/CMT experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, and work outdoors
- A valid driving license, with a clean driving record, proof of insurance
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, and random tests after hire
- Must have a professional work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Work in a cooperative and courteous manner with the public, contractors, supervisors, and other department staff.
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Current Certification for Concrete LVL 1 Field
- Current Certification for nuclear density unit
Technical Requirements (Preferred, but we will train):
- Candidate will be required to pursue relevant certifications for various disciplines such as ACI, ICC, and WAQTC Testing Technician, etc. within 180 days of employment
- General computer skills
- Complete/submit field reports accurately
- ACI certification for compressive strength, Aggregate etc.
- ICC Certification (Soil, Concrete, Masonry, etc.
- WAQTC certifications
