Field Engineer

We are looking to bring on several experienced WIFI Network Installers to join our team.

Our installations team travels throughout the US installing new systems into hotels, resorts, casinos, student housing, etc. This role requires almost full time travel with an estimated 85% out of state work and 15% local Central FL work. All travel is paid for by the company, including food per diems.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Implement wired and wireless network infrastructure for hospitality clients
• Install and configure wireless networks
• Perform network troubleshooting and diagnosis of wireless connectivity issues throughout the install process
• Design and implement VLANs, subnets, and routing to support wireless infrastructure
• Configure firewalls and routers to secure wireless networks
• Configure managed switches (HP & Cisco specific experience preferred)
• Install low voltage cabling for wireless infrastructure
• Provide onsite support and training for hotel staff and management
• Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure successful network deployment and documentation

Qualifications:

• CCNA certification or equivalent level of knowledge is required
• Experience in installing and configuring wireless networks
• Experience in VLAN design and configuration
• Experience in subnetting and routing
• Experience in firewall and router configuration
• Experience in configuring managed switches
• Experience in low voltage cable running, termination, testing, and management
• Strong communication skills and comfortable with client interaction
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to follow safety procedures

Familiarity with any of the following would be a plus: VDSL, AAA, site-to-site VPN tunnels, VMWare and virtualization, basic Linux commands, wireless point-to-points, or scripting/light programming.

Additionally, experience with any of the following types of equipment would be ideal: Ruckus, HP ProCurve, Aruba, Brocade, Meraki, RG Nets, pfSense, or Cisco.
