Maintenance Supervisor – Clinton, SC
General Scope of Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations within the organization. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all equipment, machinery, and facilities are properly maintained to support uninterrupted production or operation. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, prioritize tasks, develop maintenance schedules, and implement strategies to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure timely servicing and repairs of equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with operations teams to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting ongoing activities.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Oversee the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, equipment, and systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized maintenance tasks when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies regarding safety protocols and procedures.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, including expenses for materials, labor, and external services.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for process optimization and operational excellence.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts.
- Generate reports on maintenance KPIs, such as equipment uptime, maintenance costs, and work order completion rates.
- Communicate maintenance status, issues, and recommendations to Plant Engineer and/or Site Team Leader.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
- Five+ years of proven experience working in a supervisory role in a manufacturing facility.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
