Job Summary:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of electrical systems and applications. Your responsibilities include designing new and analyzing existing electrical systems and making cost-effective improvements, conducting research, designing testing methods, completing quality assurance, inspecting equipment, running diagnostics, as well as training new hires. To be successful, you must demonstrate strong leadership abilities and organizational skills and be passionate about engineering developments and able to efficiently troubleshoot systems.

You must have a strong working knowledge of engineering codes & standards as well as EV charging/DC fast charging stations and ensure that installations align with customer needs and expectations. As such, your role will include working on projects worldwide by being present during install and commissioning of finished products at client sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, review, update, modify, and approve electrical designs and systems.

• Determine the methods, materials, and equipment needed to implement electrical systems and prepare specifications for purchases of such equipment and materials.

• Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, safety standards, and/or customer requirements by implementing appropriate designs, and by supporting installation, maintenance, documentation, and/or testing activities (in-house and at client’s site).

• Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs/test plans.

• Perform tests on electrical circuitry, equipment, and systems.

• Write reports by collecting and analyzing data regarding Electrical Engineering projects and associated studies.

• Liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.

• Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, systems, and applications.

• Prepare budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents.

• Assemble and disassemble electrical systems, components, and equipment.

• Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements and researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.

• Evaluating systems’ safety, reliability, and performance

• Other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.

Job Qualifications:

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering; MSc is a plus.

• 15+ years practical experience.

• Electrical vehicle charging and/or DC fast charging experience strongly preferred.

• In-depth understanding of Electrical Engineering codes and safety standards.

• Experienced in drafting and interpreting engineering drawings, as well as implementing electrical systems.

Miscellaneous:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of electrical codes

• Ability to lead and work independently.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
