SAIC is seeking a Senior PrincipalSystems Engineer who will be able to perform VTC and Audio-Visual Systems Engineering and project implementation support and management activities including: design, development, procurement and implementation of complex AV and VTC systems/components supporting classified multi-domain environments. Th ideal candidate will utilize experience in AV and VTC fields to aid in the development of future facing technologies supporting the creation of systems focused on Room as a Service (RaaS), Bring you own Device (BYOD) and Bring your own Meeting (BYOM) to include development of requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design.
JOB DUTIES:
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and engineering specifications.
- Manages and supports the delivery and implementation of AV and VTC systems on a global scale. This may consist of remote support to deployed teams or OCONUS on-site support to ensure proper coordination and kick-off of installation activities to ensure to ensure the success of the team.
- Provides further project support by interfacing with customer concerning project specific requirements, implementation status through remote and on-site meetings.
- Applies experience advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts.
- Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
- Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.
- Works under consultative direction toward the achievement of long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated.
- Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of supervisor. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically results in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and affect image of organization's technological capability.
- Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- NATO CTS or CTS-D
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance after start
- 15+ years experience in the VTC and Audio Visual technical role
- 10+ years experience in the deployment of complex systems to OCONUS customers
- Extensive knowledge of AV and system architect drawings
- Extensive knowledge of Crestron control systems and applications
- Extensive knowledge of Extron configurable controls systems, NAV, NAVe
- Extensive knowledge of DSPs, conferencing devices, and AV best practices
- Extensive knowledge of multi-domain systems, design, build and configuration
