Facility Maintenance Director

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, developing, and directing the overall operation of a long-term care nursing center’s maintenance department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations.
• Performs regularly scheduled and as needed maintenance on air conditioners, heaters, laundry equipment, generators, and oxygen concentrators.
• Completes general maintenance such as plumbing repair, unplugging toilets, replacing broken pipes and water lines, drywall repair, and the repair of commercial washers and dryers.
• Performs general carpentry, paints interior and exterior walls, moves furniture, replaces electrical outlets and light bulbs, and maintains center’s grounds.
• Complete and document routine maintenance inspections

Requirements/Qualifications:

To be considered for this opportunity applicants must:

• Be a high school graduate or its equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in Facility Maintenance with at least 1 year in a healthcare setting
• Have a general knowledge of all trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical
• Possess working knowledge of federal and state regulations related to Life Safety Code and Emergency Preparedness
• Maintain the ability to communicate effectively between all departments

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
