Summary
The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the overall functionality and appearance of our facility by performing various maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
Primary
- Conduct facility audits, documenting all issues found at the facility.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including but not limited, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting fixtures, and general building repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems to minimize downtime and optimize functionality.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
- Collaborate with contractors and external service providers as needed for specialized repairs or installations.
- Negotiate pricing and quotes with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work.
- Help develop more effective maintenance procedures.
- Maintain work orders systems.
Secondary
- Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and policies to improve efficiency and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Tertiary
- Implement workplace safety policies and standards.
Skills
- Work Order Systems.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), and general building maintenance.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Understanding of building codes and regulations related to safety and maintenance.
- Thoroughness in inspecting facilities for maintenance needs.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/G.E.D
- Facility Maintenance Experience/4 years multiple industry trades
- Associate degree Preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Drive, Walk, Stand, Sit
- Repetitive use of hand/grasping
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs
