POSITION SUMMARY
The Facility and Fleet Manager is responsible for maintaining KHDS property, including buildings, grounds and vehicles, supervising the Facility and Fleet Maintenance Assistant and overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide direct services
a. Regularly survey the condition of office buildings and residential facilities, make recommendations regarding upkeep and improvements and add necessary jobs to the Maintenance Tracker
b. Monitor all incoming maintenance and moving requests and respond within 24 hours to all requests
c. Communicate via email, and teams with supervisors and staff to coordinate requested moves and donation pickups
d. Pick up bulk food orders and distribute to residential homes as needed
e. Assist with setting up and taking down agency events
f. Make minor repairs in main offices and homes as needed
g. Maintain the grounds surrounding the main offices and each residential facility, including snow removal, providing and spreading salt, landscaping and emptying trash cans as necessary
h. Assess and maintain building security and safety
i. Contact and coordinate professional vendors for maintenance repairs as needed
2. Provide indirect services
a. Purchase parts, supplies and tools for agency use as needed. (Prior approval on any major expenditures is required.)
b. Maintain an inventory of tools, furniture and agency property in an organized, accessible manner
c. Organize, maintain and distribute donations
d. Develop, implement and monitor an ongoing schedule for monthly fleet safety inspections and cleaning
e. Coordinate estimates from various contractors as needed for remodeling/construction projects as requested
f. Develop and enforce procedures, policies, and safety protocols for all fleet vehicles

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1 Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis
2.2 Ability to drive self in company vehicle
2.3 Ability to climb ladder to reach various heights
2.4 Ability to perform physical activities such as lawn mowing, snow removal or handling furniture plus other physically demanding duties
2.5 Ability to traverse within the workspace and community frequently
WORKING CONDITIONS
3.1 May need to handle machinery
3.2 Will need to utilize cleaning supplies and other chemicals
3.3 May need to work outside during both hot and cold conditions
3.4 Limited risk to exposure to communicable disease
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required
1. Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, in the English language
2. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with good driving record
3. Must carry own auto insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 coverage
4. Ability to give and accept feedback as a part of a team
5. Ability to traverse within the workspace and community frequently
6. Be willing to learn and work with the treatment philosophies
7. Bilingual in Spanish a plus
8. Ability to take initiative and work independently
9. Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record and be able to drive self in company vehicle
