What You’ll Do:

We are currently seeking a Project/Portfolio Manager- Merchant Group The roles responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate people and processes to ensure that Merchant-sponsored projects are delivered on time, on budget and produce the desired results, the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline.
  • Develop project scope and objectives (Project Charter), involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Partner with FP&A to create a Financial Plan
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/suppliers to ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and budget, to ensure that all parties are informed of any impacts on schedule and budget.
  • Prepare project status reports to applicable parties (e.g. Merchant Group Leadership and PMO)
  • Measure and report on project performance (KPIs, Financial Plan, Objectives)
  • Report and escalate to management, as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation / minimum required deliverables
  • Conduct post-project evaluation and identify lessons learned
  • Align stakeholders around project goals and works proactively with the Chief Merchant Officer and Leadership to strategically develop a coordinated portfolio of projects and related roadmaps
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
  • Manage capacity planning for resources required for successful project delivery
  • Notify management of progress on goals and informs of risks and required organizational decisions including resource allocation.
  • Supports change management, including development of communication regarding projects in the portfolio
What it Takes:

Qualifications:

  • Strong project management acumen (5+ years of experience), with excellent grasp of program management methodologies including project risk management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to simultaneously control numerous projects.
  • Capacity to anticipate, comprehend and manage project dependencies across other initiatives in the organization
  • Collaborative in nature, utilizing exceptional listening and facilitation skills to build effective teams, drive effective outcomes and develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Change management experience
  • Demonstrated success managing programs/projects end-to-end.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus
