General Purpose: Bradenton Christian School is looking for Christ-centered people to join our Facilities team. The Facilities team faithfully supports Bradenton Christian School’s mission statement to prepare the hearts and minds of God’s covenantal children in partnership with the home and church for service in God’s world. This is a great entry level opportunity forr job training for a responsible, hard-working individual can be provided for someone with strong work ethic.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support BCS faculty, staff, families, and students by helping to provide a beautiful, clean, safe learning environment
- Responsible for hands-on daily maintenance of campus buildings as scheduled by the Facilities Director
- Help with cleaning and repairs as needed and occasional grounds work
- Assist with small construction projects that may include carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
- Provide set-up/tear-down support for BCS campus activities such as daily lunch, weekly chapels, programs, and events
Education, Experience, And Skill Requirements:
- HS diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Maintenance, or handy-man experience is a plus, but not required as on the job training is available
- Looking for someone who will take pride in their work to keep BCS looking beautiful
- Must be a team player with a desire to help and serve others
- Must have excellent n communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Physical Requirements:
- This job is physically demanding. It will require movement such as reaching overhead, sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching and can regularly require heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
