GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
Work Context : This job will be performed primarily on all shelter locations in Suffolk County.
Physical Demands : Ability to lift 40 lbs, sit in office, stand all day, bend, squat, be on hands and knees for maintenance duties, climb stairs, work on/operate and vehicles.
Work Environment : Most work will be done throughout campus, including indoors and outdoors. This may include working in inclement weather conditions throughout the year.

- Proficiency with software to support office functions such as word processing, spreadsheets and email
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Ensure the overall safety of the facility.
Ø Hire, train, and manage performance of House Monitors.
Ø Manage Staff schedules. May be called to cover shifts as needed.
Ø Schedule Fire drill and emergency evacuation activities
Ø Coordinate pantry activities. Serve as liaison between Halo and food donors
Ø Inspects work of maintenance contractors to Ensure that it meets and complies with applicable Federal, State and local codes.
Ø Help prioritize and delegate tasks.
Ø Assist in the preparation and monthly monitoring of the maintenance activities and schedules.
Ø Prioritizes, plans, and schedules maintenance repairs and projects.
Ø Conduct Monthly site inspections and submit findings to the CEO
Ø Assist with Semi-annual inspections at shelter sites
Ø Develop preventative maintenance schedules and oversee their completion.
Ø Oversees the cleaning and maintenance of facility.
Ø Assists with operation and maintenance of all facilities related responsibilities on a daily basis.
Ø Inventory and purchasing of program supplies for all 4 shelters.
Ø Arrange for contract services as required and oversees maintenance projects.
Ø Place orders request and maintain a computerized inventory for facilities, supplies and materials.
Ø Develop fixed asset spread sheet (allocate tags for new purchases, Keep all receipts of all fixed asset)
Ø Keep depreciation log as well as disposal of fixed asset log

Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
