Duties:
- Full patient registration and insurance verification
- Answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone system, take messages, and update EMR charting

-Complete Health Risk Assessment/ BCBS qualification forms
- Schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendars
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, photocopying, and assist with referrals

-On Fridays, scan/upload all medical documents into EMR charts, prepare/send requested medical records(via fax, upload and mail)

Skills:
- Fast and efficient computer skills are a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling information
- Professional appearance and demeanor

We are seeking an Experienced front desk medical receptionist to manage our busy Family Practice office in Hazel Park, Mi. Work hours: Monday 9 am-5pm, Tuesday 9 am-5pm, Wednesday 10am-6pm, Thursday 9 am-5pm, Friday 9 am-5pm. All weekends off. We offer paid holidays after 6 months. Full health insurance plan paid in full after 6 months for employee only. One week paid vacation after 12 months. Starting pay $24.00 per hour.

You will be our frontline staff member to interact with our patients. The position is ONLY for a person that really enjoys working with people, is very pleasant and friendly, able to multitask, and work in an efficient manner. This is a small private practice with a limited number of employees so punctuality and attendance is a must. We are offering long term employment to grow with our practice for years to come. This position is not for any one in between jobs or in in school. Again this is ONLY for an Experienced front desk medical receptionist looking for long term employment.
