Medical Front Desk Receptionist/Biller

As a Front Desk receptionist you will be responsible for answering calls, scheduling patients in the EMR, handling new referrals, assisting with office tasks, and rarely assisting the doctor with procedures when other staff are sick.

Experience with car accident cases is required. Communication with law firms, insurance adjusters, and patients to coordinate care is a large part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Greet patient with a friendly demeanor and make their visit comfortable
• Interview patients and enter personal information
• Organize and schedule new consults, follow-up visits, procedures, and prescription refill appointments
• Obtain prior authorization from several insurance companies
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Collect patient payments by cash or credit card
• Arrange laboratory services and X-ray, MRI, or CT scan appointments at other facilities
• Answer phone, fax, or email messages

Skills

• Arabic speaking is required
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Forms, and Gmail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
