The Spurs Club will be the first-of-its-kind in the NBA, featuring multiple bars, fine dining, lounge and personal workspace all with private elevator access and exclusive views of the Spurs practice courts.
Responsibilities
Communicate orders and information between the front of house and back of house while making sure that food is cooked in correct order, efficiently and presented correctly to guest.
• Following assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation.
• Setting the pace and flow of the kitchen to ensure that all dishes are properly prepared and served at the correct temperatures.
• Responsible for safety standards, neatness and sanitation of work areas.
• Monitoring the food portions on completed dishes according to restaurant standards.
• Performing the finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges.
• Handling and cleaning kitchen equipment carefully and safely to prevent damage or injury.
• Ensuring communication in the kitchen by calling out orders, getting the status on dishes, and calling the waitstaff to serve completed dishes.
• Ensuring that proper food temperatures are maintained.
• Communicating with food runners and coordinating accurate delivery of orders.
Qualifications
• Great organizational and leadership skills
• Must have one (1) solid year experience working as an expeditor in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; can effectively communicate and relate to all levels within the restaurant and service areas.
• Responds quickly and effectively to changing trends and circumstances; embraces change and adapts; learns from past mistakes and adjusts accordingly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
