Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking a Medical Reports Expeditor Lead to support our Veteran Affairs Operations.

The Medical Reports Expeditor is responsible for ensuring reports and diagnostic results requiring follow-ups are worked in a timely manner, researching and resolving complex reports issues. Communicates with medical offices and diagnostic facilities to verify attendance and obtain reports in a timely manner, following escalation workflow when appropriate. Upload diagnostic results received to the case management system in a timely manner. Lead and mentor lower level MRE’s.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures outstanding reports and diagnostic results requiring follow-up are worked in a timely manner, researching and resolving complex reports
  • Communicate with medical offices and diagnostic facilities to verify attendance and obtain reports in a timely manner, following escalation workflow when appropriate
  • Upload diagnostic results received to the case management system
  • Appropriately process Date of First Draft (DFD) signed reports in the case management system
  • Prioritize all requests from the client to expedite delivery of a case
  • Lead, train, and mentor lower level MRE’s, providing guidance on workflows/procedures
  • May be responsible for departmental reporting tasks assigned by leadership.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

  • Comprehensive understanding of internal standardized workflow/procedures
  • Strong ability to perform assigned tasks
  • Strong ability to identify, understand and resolve common problems and/or escalate accordingly
  • Proven ability to work on non-routine tasks in a timely manner
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and perform with a high sense of urgency and follow through
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills to both internal and external customers
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. MS Office, Faxcom, Adobe) with an ability to help others learn new software.

Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)

  • High School diploma, or equivalent (GED)
  • 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a medical office and/or administrative position
  • Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.

Hourly Pay Range: $30.28 - $33.46

The Leidos QTC Health Services pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
