Job Summary

This person is the principal confidant to the EVP for Digital Equity and EVP for Public Policy (“EVP”), working closely with that EVP and his team to oversee the portfolio of critical work and track progress against defined goals. This person will report directly to that EVP as an individual contributor, and they will need to partner closely across all of the Comcast teams with responsibility for the development and execution of Digital Equity goals and objectives. This person will also play a key role in the integration of the DE work with that of the public policy team to foster strong collaboration to drive important projects. This person is also principally responsible for the management of the DE team budget and other management related duties.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the Digital Equity (DE) team and provide strong collaboration with the policy team.
  • Manage relationships with leaders of other Comcast components to maximize synergies and collaborations, especially with respect to the various DE working groups.
  • Manage the DE team’s relationships with vendors and other third parties.
  • Manage workflow for incoming and outgoing work (memos; speeches, conference appearances) critical to the responsibility of the EVP.
  • Manage performance reviews of DE team members.
  • Organize (or monitor) regular, and other, internal, and external meetings and events for the DE team.
  • Draft annual goals & track progress.
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the EVP, as needed.
  • Manage the DE team’s budget and partner with finance on budget process.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters, MBA, JD or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
