The role you'll contribute:
The Executive Director reports to the CFO and serves as the Finance leader responsible for the daily financial management and reporting of the Primary Health Division (PHD) Care at Home, Hospice, and Hospital at Home services across the system including multi-state and multi-region. These efforts will be achieved in coordination with AdventHealth's strategic goals. The Executive Director provides finance leadership for numerous home-based initiatives and business units and strategies within PHD, including Home Care, Hospice, Hospital at Home and joint ventures including Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Home Infusion.
The Executive Director works closely with the home-based services executive team and the individual agency leadership team(s) of Home Care, Hospice Care, Hospital at Home, along with the joint venture leadership teams of the other home-based entities to monitor and sustain performance for these business units or facilities and provide financial leadership for the various growth and improvement strategies across the PHD of AdventHealth. The Executive Director also coordinates with the divisional and market finance leaders in monitoring performance and strategically planning for integration and growth strategies of the home-based services across AdventHealth in support of the home-based needs of AdventHealth consumers. Key strategic support needs for home-based services initiatives include the implementation of operating objectives and targets to improve performance and increase market share, increase network integrity, ensure appropriate and cost-effective care, ensure appropriate financial contracts with payers and insurers, and continue the maturation of the health system's readiness for value-based care models.
The Executive Director has responsibility for multiple aspects of financial management for the care at home service areas, including accounting, financial planning, budgeting and capital planning, and will coordinate closely with the teams responsible for revenue cycle and payor contracting. The leader will work closely with the finance teams at each agency embedded within a hospital facility across AdventHealth in all accounting, financial planning and budgeting matters related to home-based services strategies. The leader will effectively communicate with a broad spectrum of internal and external customers, actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Scope of Responsibility
- Provides finance leadership support for the care at home leadership team, including operations, budgeting, monthly financial close process, etc.
- Coordinates the annual budget process for the care at home agencies and programs, including joint ventures.
- Leads entity leadership teams through in-depth monthly reviews of the PHD home-based facilities financial performance.
- Builds and maintains dynamic financial models to facilitate long-term scenario planning for care at home strategies.
- Provides financial leadership by supporting the operations team in achieving performance benchmarks and accountabilities for home-based business units, facilities and strategies, ensuring expense management and overall operational efficiency.
- Supports the executive team(s) for care at home agencies and business units in creating and implementing operational plans to achieve the strategic goals and objectives outlined by the Senior Executive team.
- Maintains continuous lines of communication, keeping leadership informed of all critical issues.
- Leads the development of financial proformas and analysis, in coordination with any associated hospital facility finance teams, to assist Executive leadership in strategic decision making.
- Ensures consistent implementation of best practice standards and benchmarks for measuring financial and operating performance.
- Advises leadership team on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and policy matters.
- Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality. Oversees, directs, and organizes the work of the finance teams.
- Ensures staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development. Mentors and develops staff using a supportive and collaborative approach, assigns accountabilities, sets objectives, establishes priorities, and monitors and evaluates results.
- Meets with direct reports on a regular basis. Sets clear, compelling goals and holds leadership accountable for performance, setting the climate for open and frequent communication.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant discipline
- 10 years of experience in healthcare finance / accounting, or related field, with specific emphasis on accounting practice, statistical analysis, budgeting, management decision making, financial reporting, and financial modeling.
- 4 years of experience in a management position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or relevant discipline
- Previous experience working with post-acute healthcare entities.
- CPA or similar certification
- Very strong preference for candidates with significant finance leadership with hospice and home health agencies
