The Executive Director – Florida ensures that the One Hope United Vision is operationalized through the respective Line of Service as well as within the organization as a whole. The ED is responsible for consistent high quality program outcomes as well as program expansion in keeping with strategic plans. The ED is responsible for the development and maintenance of appropriate effective management structures within the LOS. Connection with local communities and funders is expected in order to achieve fund development and programmatic goals in alignment with strategic plan. The ED is responsible for the development and maintenance of an organizational culture that supports innovation and respect.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensures Line of Service programs achieve the highest possible quality and outcomes through a management structure that supports program integrity and expansion
- Responsible for risk management and mitigation, and compliance to all federal, state and local regulatory requirements in their respective line of service
- Maintains and/or achieve (as determined through consultation with COO and CEO) accreditation for programs in their line of service
- Ensures that the organizational culture emphasizes customer focused and culturally sensitive service provision
- Promotes a positive organizational culture
- Ensures the development of annual business plans, budgets and marketing strategies that accomplish One Hope United’s Vision
- Directs the development and installation of procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow, and thereby solidify management control and direction of the LOS
- Develops relationships with universities or other partners in order to develop “cutting edge” programs and services
- Integrates current research into direct practice where appropriate
- Encourages staff presentations at conferences as well as publishing in relevant periodicals
- Formulates and monitors integrated budgets to ensure the responsible use of fiscal resources in the achievement of strategic goals
- Participates in necessary advocacy efforts on the local, state and national levels to support services and their funding
- In conjunction with the President/CEO maintains relationships with the Board of Directors and Committees in the fulfillment of the One Hope United Vision
- Ensures the effective support of programs by the Shared Services Division
- Supervises and directs key staff including Deputy Director
- Assists COO with other duties as assigned
Education
- Masters Degree required
- Minimum 10 years in leadership or management role
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record with OHU required levels of coverage for auto insurance
Certifications
- Florida State Child Welfare Case Management certification preferred
Required Skills
- Extensive experience in working with DCF and/or other child welfare agencies, as well as in working with children and families
- Experience as a Liaison with proven success
- Excellent written communication, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to present effectively and concisely to a wide variety of audiences
- Ability to function independently
- Highly organized, yet flexible and can manage multiple priorities well
- Ability to handle multiple projects and manage tight deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate project management, organization and analytical skills
- Ability to exercise discretion and ensure confidentiality
- Basic computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
