Objective of this Role:
- Develop a culinary plan with short and long-term goals that ensure high levels of guest satisfaction
- Enhance food quality levels by establishing standards while collaborating on diverse menus to satisfy specific regional preferences
- Address quality and culinary service gaps to develop continuous improvement for execution across the entire organization
- Research, test and introduce new and improved products to enhance the overall food service experience
- Establish menus and products that are in line with food cost projections, operational feasibility, quality standards and guest satisfaction
- Develop, revise, measure and maintain culinary service standard operating procedures throughout our business lines
- Cultivate and maintain effective partnerships with management to execute culinary strategic plans
- Liaise with supply chain management to identify key potential supplier relationships
- Uphold and promote the organization’s values, philosophy, ethics, morality, integrity and code of conduct
Role Qualifications:
Required
- 5+ years of experience as Sous Chef or Culinary Leader
- Advance proficiency in high volume catering or quantity food production
- ServSafe Certification & NYC Food Protection Certification
- Bilingual: Spanish & English
- Proficiency in food costing, menu planning, inventory management and procurement
- Flexible hours as dictated by the needs of business
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Culinary knowledge and principles in: Puerto Rican, Caribbean & Latin American cuisines
- Computer proficiency with Google Docs
