About the Role
Boston University Admissions seeks an Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support and manages special projects for the Associate Vice President for Enrollment & Dean of Admissions, the Director of Admissions, the Program Director for the College Advising Corps, and other members of the Admissions senior staff. The Executive Assistant also coordinates the planning and implementation of extensive and complex recruitment travel in the U.S. and abroad; schedules meetings, maintains calendars, and plans events; compiles data and produces reports and statistics in support of the admissions recruitment, selection, and enrollment processes; answers questions and resolves problems in response to written, email, and telephone inquiries; monitors and tracks departmental expenses for the Office of Admissions and assists with the quarterly budget reporting process; and prepares PowerPoint presentations for the Dean and Director of Admissions. Serves as a resource to guidance counselors, teachers, and parents regarding the intricacies of the college admissions process, and in the handling of sensitive information. Coordinates and assigns administrative tasks to other admissions staff and ensures appropriate staffing coverage and day-to-day functioning of the Office of Admissions.
The Executive Assistant reports to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment & Dean of Admissions but works closely with the Director of Admissions, the Director of the College Advising Corps, the entire Admissions staff, and the administrative leadership of ENSA. Additionally, it is important for the Executive Assistant to develop relationships with the administrative teams at each of the undergraduate schools and colleges as well as those in the offices of the University’s President and Provost.
