About Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center (MIWRC)

MIWRC is a non-profit social and mental health services organization committed to traditional ways of being and support of Native women and their families. Founded in 1984, MIWRC provides a broad range of programs designed to educate and empower Native women and their families, and to inform and assist those who work providing services to the community.

Position Summary:

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the CEO.

General Responsibilities

· Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the CEO and/or other assigned leadership staff.

· Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents.

· Arranges travel and accommodations for CEO and other staff as needed.

· Schedules and attends meetings with CEO, taking notes and recording minutes.

· Receives incoming communication or memos on behalf of CEO, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff.

· Performs office tasks including maintaining records and ordering supplies.

· Performs additional duties as assigned by CEO

· Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.

· Able to type minimum of 50 words per minute.

· Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.

· At least one year of related experience required.
