Summary
Supervises work activities of EVS cleaning personnel on a specific shift to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Delegate work responsibilities, monitor, and inspect cleanliness of the property.
- Maintain constant awareness of safety and accident prevention.
- Supervise the implementation of training programs for all EVS Team Members.
- Ensure the department's day-to-day activities are running smoothly and according to standards.
- Oversee the status of out-of-order areas.
- Will conduct formal inspections, as well as, random checks to ensure high level maintenance and quality appearance levels.
- Work closely with the Facilities Department to ensure the preventative maintenance program is in place and providing positive results.
- Maintain appropriate levels of supplies and equipment.
- Directly supervise 15-30 employees in the EVS Department.
- Will carry out responsibilities in accordance with the policies and procedures in the Team Member handbook and departmental procedures.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, training and motivating team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
- Must be able to supervise our Custodial technicians or Clean Team Attendants in the absence of their immediate supervisor.

- Participate in open communication and provide feedback to management regarding operations, staffing, personal development, and operational productivity.
- Serve as a contributing Team Member of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians enhancing the Casino’s operations in all its business endeavors.
Education / Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age, or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of housekeeping or previous EVS experience, required.
- 1 year of Lead or Supervisory experience, preferred.
- Basic Computer skills with Microsoft Office familiarity, necessary
- Bilingual preferred.
- Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
Certificates, licenses and registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
- Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
- Must be able to provide proof of ability to drive in a form of CDL (California Driver’s license) and provide driving record from DMV when requested.
