Elite/PBS Events is a growing Tent and Event Supply Rental Company located on the North Shore of Long Island, and servicing events in NY/NJ/CT. We offer a wide range of wedding and event rentals, and we strive to provide excellent selections and service to our customers.
We are looking for:
We are looking for a new Event Specialist/Rental Sales Consultant to grow with our company. Ideally you have a background and experience in catering/event planning/party rentals or tent rentals. You are a team-player, a hard worker, and have an eye for detail. You enjoy planning and executing a variety of parties from weddings to corporate events. As an Event Specialist, you will strive to build strong relationships with our customers, which include Chefs, Event Planners, Wedding Planners, and Caterers.
The Day-to-Day
- Hospitably answer a high volume of phone calls to assist in creating customer orders
- Be the expert in assisting customers with event order design, any order changes and product questions
- Ability to multi-task and handle call volumes
- Work to build relationships with new customers
- Proactively maintain and expand strategic house accounts
- Consult with clients to determine event details and rental needs
- Identify and manage target client prospects
- Prepare all customer quotes and follow up
- Prepare and enter customer orders and production schedules/timelines, verify entered orders for accuracy, complete all revisions/additions
- Participate and share experiences in weekly sales meetings
- Conduct showroom appointments at our Port Washington location and assist with showroom visitors
- Learn Party Track software for order management and inventory
- Problem solve and troubleshoot rental inventory issues
- Educate customers about all rental items available cross selling all company products
- Assist in covering weekend office schedule and installation schedules as needed
- Understand and respect the confidentiality of client and company information
- Establish yourself as a trustworthy member of the sales team
- Attend industry networking events and build relationships for the future business of the company
- Assist your fellow sales team with their orders when necessary
- Work with local building departments and fire marshals to assist in the filing of Tent Permits
- Work with other teams including linen, tabletop, and warehouse to ensure availability of quoted items
What We’re Looking For
- 1-3 years of hospitality experience with a event rental company, caterer, food service provider, event planner, venue, or hotel
- Sales experience and hospitality degree is a plus
- Availability to work Monday through Friday
- Proficient with computers (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor

This position reports directly to the ownership/management.
Compensation
- Starting salary of $50,000 - $60,000 (based on experience) plus commission
