Role Description The position has a base salary of $40,000 as well as a 4% commission on gross F&B Event Sales. ***High earning potential.
Hotel Hugo Soho is seeking a dynamic sales-oriented individual to handle event bookings in our two rooftop bars, conference room, and street-level café spaces. This is a full-time on-site role for an Event Sales Specialist at Hotel Hugo, located in New York, NY. This is an onsite role in which presence is required during event start to ensure client satisfaction.
The role entails various day-to-day tasks such as customer service, event management, event planning, communication, and sales focused on event bookings and business development. The Event Sales Specialist will work with various teams to ensure the successful delivery of events at Hotel Hugo. The position works closely with our Food and Beverage operations management team as well as our Sales Directors and Marketing Coordinator, contributing to event setup, client site visits, social media/marketing creation, and content.
This is an outstanding opportunity for growth as well. Those previously in the position have advanced within our organization.

Qualifications
- Qualifications include, but not be limited to experience in upscale restaurant and lounge operations, marketing and sales, and/or catering sales.
- Excellent customer service skills, including conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
- Experience in event management and planning. A keen eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple projects at once is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients are essential.
- Aptitude for sales, including developing business, prospecting, and qualifying leads.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintain a flexible schedule and work effectively under time constraints.
