Event Operations Assistant
Temporary Position Summary
This position will be responsible for supporting the Senior Vice President of Enrollment Management in coordinating and managing College-wide events, events sponsored by Enrollment Management and external events as assigned.
Temporary Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The employee will assist the Senior Vice President to ensure smooth operation in executing all aspects of events management. Duties include but are not limited to coordination of food and beverage, set design, audio visual, travel and concierge management, production of event and marketing materials, vendor management, sponsors relations, and on-site meeting management. The employee will also provide office/administrative support and have core competencies in the following:

• Be capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
• Experienced multi-tasking and adjusting to changing priorities.
• Possess the ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
• Well versed in the hospitality and travel industries.
• Adapt to event function sheet processing and create debriefing reports on all events.
• Willing to set-up, breakdown and clean-up throughout the event process.
• Work weekends, evenings and some holiday seasons.
• Willingness to assist in all events.
• Possess a knowledge of developing marketing and office documents (i.e. letters, proposals,
reports, flyers, email invitations, etc) (samples requested).
• Be creative in presentation (samples requested).
• Experience in an educational setting preferred.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred. Must possess a minimum of 3-5 years event management experience or related field. Must have experience and understanding in supporting a director and managing an office environment.
