Assistant Operations Manager

Taylor Enterprises, Inc. is a packager, blender and manufacturer of products for PCMO, HD and Industrial materials. We are a proud distributor and manufacturer of brands such as Oil Pro, Permaguard, Private Label Products, Pennzoil, Quaker State, and Rotella throughout the Southeast.

Job Description:

• Provide and maintain a safe work environment.
• Manage daily functions as outlined by the location Operations Manager. Includes the organization, delegation and time management of workloads that coincide with corporate objectives.
• Dispatching fleet.
• Have the ability to promote a team environment that promotes open communication, the sharing of ideas and balanced workloads. Promote the cross training of personnel performing critical functions where possible.
• Be a good steward of location assets to include facility, vehicle maintenance and repair as prescribed.
• Manage inventory functions as assigned. This may include purchase order receiving, intra-company transfer generation and receiving, repackaging, reconciliation, maintaining and updating bin locations and participating in inventory activities as assigned.
• Document and communicate issues to appropriate personnel as established.
• Assure facility complies with standards established by local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assure facility personnel are knowledgeable and trained to comply with policies, procedures and regulations established by Taylor Enterprises, Taylor’s suppliers, Taylor’s customers, the Department of Transportation, or other governing entities that affect Taylor’s ability to do business.
• Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism through appearance, mannerisms, attention to customer needs, maintaining customer inventory levels as required and representing Taylor Enterprises in a positive fashion at all times.

Requirements:

• Can read and write legibly as well as interpret and follow oral and written communications.
• Possess communication skills necessary for effective employee training, customer interaction, vendor relations and intra-company communications.
• Proficiency using required computer programs to include company specified operating system, e-mail (Microsoft Outlook) and applicable Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
• Possess a valid driver license and maintain a clean driving record that qualifies them to be insurable under Taylor Enterprises, Inc. insurance carrier’s policy.
• Can lift 60 pounds and push or pull 3100 pounds over a level surface using a pallet jack.
• Can safely operate motorized lift trucks of all types owned by the company used for loading, unloading and stocking inventory items.
• Excellent work experience and 2 years of Management experience
