We are looking for a Press Operator Assistant. This position is on-site at our Duluth facility and will report to the Director of Operations.

The Ideal Candidate:

The Press Operator Assistant provides support to the Press Operator in running Printing Presses within a commercial printing facility. This role assists with setup, operation, and maintenance of the printing equipment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience and knowledge of offset presses.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist the Press Operator in setting up printing jobs on offset Printing Presses

· Feed materials like paper, ink, and plates into the Printing Press as needed

· Monitor press operations and make minor adjustments to maintain print quality

· Remove printed materials from delivery end of press and prepare for binding/finishing

· Clean printing units, cylinders, and other press areas

· Mix inks and coatings according to job specifications

· Load and unload skids of paper and printed materials

· Perform basic preventive maintenance on presses like roller cleaning, blanket changes, etc.

· Follow all safety procedures and operate equipment properly

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly

· Basic math skills

· Attention to detail

· Mechanical aptitude

· Willingness to learn press operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
