Event Manager

Northwest Square is located in downtown DeLand’s Northwest Historic District. On the National Register of Historic Places, the downtown hub is the adaptive reuse of Trinity United Methodist Church. The mixed-use building houses a food hall and tap room, 4-distinct event spaces, and 15-apartments.

Northwest Square is seeking an Event Manager who will be responsible for marketing, booking, and managing events. The four event spaces include a 300-person capacity Blackburn Ballroom; 250-person capacity Ford Hall; 200-person capacity Hartman Courtyard, and 65-person capacity Pierce Chapel.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate venue selection and logistics
- Develop event timelines and calendars
- Collaborate with clients to provide tours of the building, understand their event objectives and ensure their needs are met
- Coordinate with preferred vendors and suppliers to secure necessary resources for events
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown
- Manage event staff and provide guidance and support as needed
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement
- Market event spaces online
- Track inventory condition to determine when replacements are needed
- Record event contracts and paperwork

Requirements:
- Proven experience in event management or related field
- Strong knowledge of hospitality industry practices and trends
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to anticipate client needs
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
