Position Summary Details
Manage event software system
Contact the Suffolk University community to clarify event requirements
Communicate with other departments for event needs (Media services, catering, custodial, conferences, events, etc.)
Provide excellent service and communication to the client and employees
Perform quality checks and inspections on event spaces
Pre-event walk throughs of setups and breakdowns with event staff
Maintain orderly event reports, collect feedback, etc.
Attend weekly event and staff meetings
Assist event hosts with creating floor plans, diagrams, etc.
General data entry duties, office administration such as answering phone calls, emails, filing, copying, etc. when needed
Greet and help walk-in visitors in a professional manner
Handle other duties assigned by management
Requirements:
High school diploma required. Associates degree or higher preferred
Minimum of 3 years office administration experience or similar
High energy level and enthusiasm
Proficient in Microsoft office and EXCEL
Familiarity with service ticket or work order systems
Familiarity with School Dude work order systems is a plus
Strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Sense of urgency to complete tasks and meet deadlines; self-directed
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to multi-task
