Job Description
The Event Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of engagement opportunities for Wellesley alumnae and donors, deepening their institutional involvement through virtual and in-person meetings as well as regional events. This full-time, temporary position reports to the Director of Donor Relations in the development office.
Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Donor Relations, execute fiscal year plans for on-campus events, virtual events, regional activities, and other development needs for engagement.
Responsible for all aspects of event planning and execution including venue outreach (catering, contracts, audio visual) and event preparation (invitations, registration, nametags, place cards, check-in).
Utilizes the development database to track, monitor, and manage event activities for donors, prospects, and volunteers.
Maintain working relationships with institutional and external partners.
Attends planning meetings, training sessions, events, and conferences as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience in event planning for both small group and large events, working with outside venues and vendors.
Ideally have experience in a development, nonprofit or university setting, with an emphasis in donor relations, stewardship, event management or fundraising.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication, and technical skills are essential.
Professional and diplomatic demeanor, and the ability to work well independently as a member of a group or committee
Working knowledge of databases or similar and expert proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.

This is a full time, six-month term appointment. The Standard hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30 pm. This role will be eligible for benefits.
Will need to be available to work some nights and weekends
