Overview
The Evening Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean facility, for setting up and tearing down for regular gatherings and special events, and for properly securing the building nightly.

Christian Character

Education
Þ A high school diploma or GED is required.
Work Competency
Þ The Evening Custodian should joyfully serve the varying needs of members, guests, and pastoral staff. He or she should possess the professional, communication, and trade-based skills to efficiently maintain the cleanliness and security for the building. Such skills include but are not limited to:
· Proficient cleaning skills (vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, preventative, etc.)
· Well-organized
· Takes initiative and is proactive
· Attentive to details
· Problem solving
· Works well in a team environment
· Proficient in English
· Able to keep matters confidential
· Flexible to changing needs
· Ability to follow calendars of events.
Areas of Responsibility
Cleaning
· Perform regular cleaning of the facility as laid out in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cleaning schedules. This includes but is not limited to tasks such as:
o Vacuuming,
o Sweeping,
o Mopping,
o Emptying trash,
o Dusting and sanitizing surfaces and fixtures.
· Areas that require this type of cleaning include
o Classrooms
o Offices
o Workrooms
o Breakrooms
o Large meeting halls
o Gymnasium
o Hallways
Supplies
· Maintain a well-stocked and well-organized inventory of supplies for maintaining the facility, which includes:
o Paper products
o Cleaning supplies and equipment
o Signage
· Work with the Operations and Facility Director in ordering supplies.
· Keep the supply closets well-organized.
Operations
· Help ensure the building is properly secured at the beginning and end of each work day according to the calendar of events.
· Setup rooms for regular gatherings and special events as-needed.
Maintenance
· Make adjustments to cleaning equipment.
· Be helpful to other maintenance/operations staff as needed.
· Monitor and report on any issues with the facility.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 18 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Evening shift
