Child Nutrition Reporter/Custodian - Wheeler Head Start

The Middle Georgia Community Action Agency, Inc. Head Start program is currently hiring for the Child Nutrition Reporter/Custodian position at Wheeler Head Start.

The Child Nutrition Reporter/Custodian is responsible for maintaining and reporting accurate meal counts as well as the daily appearance and cleanliness of the center and grounds. The Child Nutrition Reporter/Custodian works under the general supervision of the Head Start Nutrition Coordinator and under the direct supervision of the Center Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve breakfast, lunch and snack meals
• Report accurate meal count orders to providing agency
• Maintain kitchen area and equipment to ensure compliance with local and state health sanitation and safety standards
• Communicate with Nutrition Coordinator of menu changes due to food allergies, food related disability, religious reason or parental preference
• Wear hairnets and gloves daily; change gloves if ripped, torn, or contaminated
• Pick-up meals daily; must have transportation
• Responsible for inventory and ordering of kitchen and janitorial supplies
• Attend staff meetings, pre-service and in-service training as required

Minimum Requirements of the Position

• Possess high school diploma or equivalent
• Be a US citizen, or have a Permanent Resident Card, or an alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)
• Have and maintain a clean driving record (NOT TO EXCEED 6 PTS)
• Have and maintain a criminal history absent of convictions for violent crimes or for any crime against children.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $10.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Nutrition: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
