This position is responsible for processing, reviewing, and approving both residential and institutional vouchers.
Rare in-state travel may be required for this position.
The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.
Process and communicate with Public Education Agencies, Residential Treatment Centers (RTC), and Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind to procESS VOUCHERs when students are placing by State Placing Agencies for Educational Vouchers
Reconcile payments between RTCs and the Arizona Department of Education to ensure monies are accounted for accurately and paid only upon appropriate placement documentation being completed
Provide training and technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders regarding appropriate documentation for educational vouchers, IEPs related to special education vouchers, and METs as it relates to the placement process from State Placing Agencies
Knowledge in:

Preference will be given to those applicants with:
Understanding of special education processes and required documentation
Understanding of placements of students for behavioral reasons within facilities
Awareness of Arizona State Statutes and laws under Title 15
An associate degree in finance or a related field, or equivalent experience to substitute for the degree
