As the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Training and Engagement Program Manager, you will lead and implement the Port's annual required racial equity training program and lead internal employee development and Engagement opportunities that advance continued learning, skill-building, and dialog about equity and anti-racism. You will also serve as a coach and consultant to assist Port departments in embedding equity into their work.
- You will organize and implement the Port's annual equity training program, which is a requirement for all Port employees. You will develop and update trainings, monitor effectiveness of trainings, facilitate trainings, work with contractors, and implement new and creative ways to deepen employee's knowledge and understanding of equity and anti-racism.
- You will collaborate with the Office of Equity Diversity and Inclusion (OEDI) team, Human Resources team, and other departments to manage the implementation of all internal-facing EDI development and Engagement strategies and activities.
- You will regularly meet with Port leaders and teams, including Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Diversity and Development Council, and the Change Team, to identify and strategize for employee engagement opportunities, and provide support to implement.
- You will provide subject matter knowledge on equity and anti-racism, normalizing and operationalizing equity within the organization, departments, teams, and employees. You will serve as a coach to departments and teams, providing advice and consultation on how to embed equity into programs and policies.
- You will create plans to achieve strategic long-term EDI goals pertaining to employee development and Engagement. You will align goals with other OEDI and Port-wide initiatives and coordinate with OEDI teams and other relevant departments.
- Experienced - You have five (5) years of experience designing and delivering learning solutions in a business and/or community environment with experience in a setting where the learning function is integrated with "non-learning" solutions such as culture change, performance improvement, talent management, etc. You also have three (3) years of experience in practicing organizational learning with responsibility for leading large- and small-scale employee development programs pertaining to equity and antiracism.
- Desired - You possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Policy, DEI, Sociology, or a field that provides you with skills, knowledge, and experience to perform duties of this job.
