The Configuration Center Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the proper procedures for workflow management are followed. This position manages workflow effectively in a high-volume and dynamic environment to reach pre-determined production team goals.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Assign day to day work and manage area workflow
- Ensure technician has access to necessary tools to keep current on technologies and best practices.
- Facilitate open communication with Sales. Communicate updates on configuration orders to internal customers and update records.
- Train new coworkers on internal processes, and resolving issues with configuration orders.
- Assist with efforts to maintain awareness of new technologies.
- Assist in creating process documentation and ensure existing processes are followed.
- Monitor coworker utilization rates and consult with management if a coworker falls below acceptable levels.
- Execute daily reports ensuring department KPI goals are met
Responsibilities
- Assist with researching new service opportunities and communicating important information to technicians.
- It may be necessary on occasion for this individual to work beyond their regularly scheduled shift
- Demonstrate ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of force rarely (0-12% of the workday). The team lift system must be utilized for loads weighing more than 50 pounds.
- Demonstrate ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday), and 51-75 pounds rarely (0-12% of the workday).
- Demonstrate ability to perform eight or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping and carrying products in combination at any given time.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as weather fluctuates, noise from conveyors and forklifts.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- A+ Certification or entry level PC certification
