Equipment Specialist (General)

As an Equipment Specialist you will serve as a Technical Specialist within the Facilities Management Division.
Location of position:  Facilities Management Division

San Francisco, CA or Los Angeles, CA
The Facilities Management Division is responsible for all types of mechanical systems, vertical transportation equipment (elevators, lifts, escalators, etc.) and associated equipment.

We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

The GS-12 salary range in Los Angeles, CA  starts at $101,121 per year. 

The GS-12 salary range in San Francisco, CA starts at $108,245 per year.

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.  
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is work that has provided practical working knowledge of vertical transportation systems and industry practices including elevator safety and acceptance inspections, elevator code administration, written reports, specification writing, cost estimating, and maintenance management. Qualifying experience must reflect the ability to effectively administer a vertical transportation maintenance and inspection program.
