- Responsible for managing all facets of spill response activities for onshore and offshore pipeline, terminal, and transportation assets.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to spill planning and response, including development and maintenance of various Oil Spill Response Plans, Facility Response Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Dock Operations Manuals, and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans.
- Manage compliance with the Preparedness for Response Exercise Program (PREP), including coordinating and managing all drills required under PREP.
- Identify and summarize emerging regulatory issues related to spill planning and response to assure timely implementation and maximum operational flexibility.
- Partner with external consultants to develop plans, conduct spill response activities and for other necessary support.
- Develop and submit updates and reports to federal, state, and local agencies. Correspond with all agencies and maintain communication records.
- Track key compliance metrics.
- Serve as point of contact for spill planning and response related questions and requests from Operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- 5-10 years of related experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local emergency planning and response regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Capable of influencing others and developing strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Ability to successfully multi-task under tight schedule constraints.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Excel spreadsheet and MS Word processing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 10%.
