Aston Carter is seeking a Technical Proposal Writer for one of our clients to join a team of other technical writers to develop responses to various Government solicitations.
Description:
This individual is responsible for authoring, editing, and reviewing content for proposals and responses to U.S. Government RFPs, RFIs and RFQs for current and potential clients. They will communicate regularly with subject matter experts, managers and directors to obtain information, develop resumes, develop/review technical input, and organize information into a coherent and dynamic response and are responsible of meeting deadlines for assigned projects.
DAY TO DAY:
- Report to the Proposal Manager for all assigned duties and collaborates with proposal team as directed
- Write, edit, collect and coordinate content for multiple concurrent RFPs, RFIs and RFQs
- Support overall business capture environment to include solicitation tracking, tracking upcoming, current opportunities and customer management
- Rewrite text to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance in a timely manner following established RFP process
- Coordinate and manage the efforts of multiple contributors
- Ensure proposals are properly formatted and comply with standards
Additional Skills & Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in proposal or technical writing
- College degree related to writing (English, journalism, communications, etc)
- Administrative and Shipboard Navy experience; Firm knowledge shipboard systems and shipboard terminology
- Knowledgeable in responding to MAC task order requests such as Seaport NxG and/or Seaport-e contract vehicle(s)
- Experience with Section L & Section M of RFPs
- Experience with MS Visio
