Job Description
We are looking to hire a full-time (Monday- Thursday 9-5, Fridays 9-1), in-office Human Resources Assistant. The position is located in our Brooklyn office. This position assists with a variety of Human Resources duties to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. Looking for a candidate who is motivated, eager to learn, detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities:
- Guide new employees through the onboarding process
- Review and process onboarding paperwork including background checks.
- Address telephone and email inquiries from current and prospective employees relative to company policies, compensation, hiring process, employment, and/or employee relations,
- Prepare credentialing/certification for insurance carriers and track progress.
- Maintain the up-to-date HR personnel files and records in electronic systems
- Assist with employee discipline, change in payroll status, terminations, resignations, unemployment, and disability paperwork
Qualifications
- High integrity, empathetic & considerate of others
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Very detail oriented
